Jeremy Freer

Teaching Assistant

Jeremy Freer is the Graduate Teaching Assistant and principal arranger for the Green Machine. A trumpet player pursuing the degree of Master of Music Performance (Spring 2010), he received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Louisiana State University in 2000. Since then, he has taught beginning band for four years in Fairfax County, directed band and orchestra at Mount Vernon High School in Eastchester, New York, and spent a semester studying with the then-recently formed Cavalier Marching Band at UVA. He currently teaches lessons and arranges music for high school groups across the country, various collegiate and professional ensembles, and the Army National Guard Band.
